ANALYSIS OF "SATISFACTION" QUESTIONNAIRE

  1. PURPOSE
    1. To establish current members' views about the club and its programme of auctions, talks and other activities.
    2. To use the results to
      • adjust the programme and activities as necessary to better reflect members' needs.
      • Provide relevant publicity material to attract new members.
  2. METHODOLOGY
    1. 25 Questionnaires were distributed at the club meeting on 6 March 2006.
    2. 23 Questionnaires were returned, 53% of the total membership of 43. Not all questions were answered.
    3. Responses were analysed by feature to arrive at the percentage of the maximum possible score and the average response, weighted by the number of replies.
  3. CONCLUSIONS
    1. For full details, see attached.
    2. The lowest score on any feature was 58%, average 3.0, indicating general satisfaction with the club.
    3. 94% scores were achieved for frequency, time and regularity of meetings, meeting other collectors, and ability to buy, sell and exchange.
    4. 82% score for auction. with one response wanting two per year
    5. 93% wanted coin talks, 77% token talks, 59% medal talks, 58% banknote talks, 58% other talks - the average score (3.5) for other beating medals and banknotes.
    6. 67% wanted museum etc visits, 59% social events, 70% the library, 62% competitions.
    7. 88% valued the newsletter for reporting the last and advising the next meeting, with 61 % liking the publication of earlier articles.
  4. RECOMMENDATIONS
    1. Table the results to the AGM on 5 June 2006.
    2. Ensure the annual programme is balanced to broadly meet the interests shown - the recent gaps appearing to be banknotes and other.
    3. Develop publicity emphasising the high scoring features.
